Local Allstate Agent: Meet Arrow Dickerson

I grew up in Ottawa Lake, a small town in Michigan, and have been working in Toledo since age 16. It’s a fantastic place to live with its Midwestern values, four beautiful seasons and scenic Lake Erie coastline. My favorite season here is summer. A perfect day for me is playing volleyball in the morning, cheering on the Toledo Mud Hens in the afternoon and spending time with friends and my goldendoodle, Bella.

Helping people is at the core of what my agency does, and I enjoy being involved in the Toledo community whenever I can. My office has served as a donation site to benefit the YWCA of Northwest Ohio which helps make a difference in the fight against domestic violence. I’ve also volunteered my time at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio and Special Olympics Wood County. I’ve been proud to help some of our local organizations to secure Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grants to help further fund their efforts. I also enjoy meeting other business leaders at the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce.

I began working in insurance in 1980 and was fortunate to open my agency in 2006. I take great pride in assisting customers as they make decisions that help protect what matters most – their family, home, car and boat. We help customers review existing coverage, work with them to better understand their needs and help them to fill gaps in their coverages. Stop by and pay us a visit – we’re here to help you learn to take care of what’s most important to you.

Allstate Foundation Helping Hands Grant for YWCA of Northwest Ohio

YWCA of Northwest Ohio recently received a $1,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands in the Community grant on our behalf to support the organization’s efforts to help women affected by domestic violence in Northwest Ohio. One in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime, and financial abuse is the number one reason why women stay in or return to abusive relationships. Without access to money, financial resources or even transportation, victims remain trapped. We’re committed to helping survivors in our community have the resources to get help and rebuild their lives, which is why we’re proud to support YWCA of Northwest Ohio’s work.

Support for National Multiple Sclerosis Society

I believe in making a difference in our community, and I was thrilled to participate in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s recent Bike to the Bay event. If you would like to support this effort to create a world free of MS, search for a ride in your area.

Classic Cars In and Around Toledo

I have been in the area for over years and I’ve seen some nice classic cars driving around. If you happen to have one, learn how I can help with protection built just for classics.

Helping Hands Grant for YWCA for Northwest Ohio

Living in Toledo, our team understands the challenges facing people in the area, and we truly want to make a lasting difference. Therefore, we were delighted to earn an $1,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grant for YWCA of Northwest Ohio. We want to support the organization’s efforts to “empower women”, and this grant will go a long way toward helping people in and around our hometown. Giving back to those in need gives us a sense of purpose, and we’re honored to assist the work of YWCA of Northwest Ohio.

Conference to End Domestic Violence

I was proud to attend the National Network to End Domestic Violence Conference in Washington, DC on June 11-13 on behalf of the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse program. Helping to spread awareness of support organizations serving survivors of domestic violence to members of Congress is important to me, and I was excited to be among seven Allstate agents selected to help assist in speaking out against domestic violence.

Support for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Susan G. Komen Organization

Helping people is at the core of what my agency does, which is why we proudly donated a gift basket for the 17th annual Cinco de Mayo event, which was hosted by Re/Max Preferred Associates. Proceeds from the event benefited the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the Susan G. Komen organization . We support the Children’s Miracle Network’s efforts to help critically ill children and their families in the Toledo area, as well as the Susan G. Komen organization, which assists those affected by breast cancer in our community.

Support for YWCA Northwest Ohio

Helping people is at the core of what our agency does, and we were proud to raffle off two purple purses to benefit the YWCA Northwest Ohio. We raised $1,520 to support the organization’s efforts to help women affected by domestic violence in the Toledo area. We’re proud to be one of thousands of Allstate agencies around the country rallying together to support domestic violence programs like the YWCA Northwest Ohio, so they can help victims reclaim their independence.

Support for the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio

I’m thankful for the wonderful community in Toledo, and I try to give back as much as possible. Supporting the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio through donations towards their efforts to provide services for those affected by seizure disorders is very important to me. I was thrilled to participate in their 40th anniversary event. I look forward to more opportunities to support the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio!

Allstate’s Commitment to Excellence Award

Congratulations to Tom Yunker, a Licensed Sales Professional with our agency, for winning Allstate’s prestigious Commitment to Excellence Award.
