Scott Gilbert

Personal Financial Representative

Scott moved to Sedona in 2003 and joined the team at Binkley & Associates, LLC as a Personal Financial Representative in 2004. Though he holds a degree in philosophy and linguistics, he enjoys multiple pursuits. Scott comes to us with an extensive background. He served his country as a Marine, his community as a high school football coach, and now serves customers by helping successfully prepare for their futures. His favorite aspect of his role at Binkley & Associates, LLC is getting to know people, understanding their passions and their dreams, and then helping them prepare a solid financial future to support those important goals. In fact, Scott says that the highest compliment he can be paid is when customers refer someone they care about, as it demonstrates confidence in his ability and an appreciation of his caring nature. When not helping dreams come true, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, as he restores classic cars and volunteers in his beautiful Arizona community.

Christina Applegate

Licensed Operations Manager

An Arizona State University graduate, Christina has lived in Prescott Valley since 1984 and has been an integral part of Binkley & Associates since 2014, currently serving as Operations Manager. Her desire to join our team was fostered by learning of the integrity and strength of such a well-established brand as Allstate, as it gives her the assurance that she truly is putting customers in “good hands.” In her downtime, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and son, being outdoors, playing board games, crafting, and baking.

Audrey Hovelsrud

Licensed Account Manager

A Prescott native, Audrey joined our team in 2019 and brings a ray of sunshine into our office with her cheery disposition. To Audrey, the most enjoyable aspect of being a Licensed Account Manager is the opportunity to help so many people and to work alongside such amazing teammates. When Audrey’s not in the office, she’s all about family, with a little reading, hiking, mixed media, and journaling thrown into the mix.

Hannah Hovelsrud

Licensed Account Manager

A 4th generation “Prescottonian,” Hannah rejoined our team in 2021, while completing her bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Her favorite aspect of being a Licensed Account Manager is the diversity of tasks that never allows for a dull moment, as well as the warm work environment created by a team that truly respects and enjoys one another. Mother of three amazing children and three fabulous fur babies, she is always on the go but somehow makes time to pursue her passions, which include reading, criminology, natural medicines, neuroscience, politics, and history.

Shida Mohebpour

Licensed Account Manager

Shida comes to us all the way from the UK, having moved to the States in 2019 and joining our Binkley & Associates team in 2021 as a Licensed Account Manager. She has a degree in Criminology and is a Certified Personal Trainer, so she’s a great one to help see customers' policies have their i’s dotted, t’s crossed, and are in tip top shape! Anyone who meets her is instantly enamored by her engaging style and beautiful accent, especially when combined with her talents at interacting with people, helping them, and resolving whatever issues they might have. Away from the office, Shida thoroughly enjoys painting, traveling, and hanging out with her bestie – her fur baby, Biggie!

Ron Brashear

Licensed Account Manager

Enjoying what we have to offer here in the Quad-City area, Ron moved up from Phoenix in 2012. After a variety of adventures and vocations, he joined our Binkley & Associates team in 2022 as a Licensed Insurance Representative and is a really great addition to our agency, especially as he has extensive experience in insurance, customer service, and finance . . . not to mention his friendly, helpful, can-do attitude! As he majored in Finance while earning his Bachelor of Science at ASU, he is aptly equipped to help customers in their diverse needs. Meeting new people and lending a hand wherever it is needed are certainly passions of Ron’s, but his biggest passion is his little girl, who is the very apple of his eye. Thus, when he is not hard at work with us, he is hard at play with her!

Trestae Jones

Community Relations Manager

With Trestae’s experiences gained from having lived in so many different places across the country and likewise having had so many different vocations, Trestae is well-suited to be our Community Relations Manager. Indeed, her eclectic past has seen her almost coast to coast (and lots of in-between!) and engaging in things as diverse as ballroom dance instruction, pharmacology, freelance editing, K-12 and university education, retail management, and more. She most recently comes to us by way of Texas, having moved to Prescott Valley in mid-2021 and subsequently joining our agency early-2022. With her MA in Communication Studies, Trestae helps the team in effectively connecting with customers, vendors, and communities alike. One of her favorite things about working at Binkley & Associates is preparing and coordinating lots of events for us, from charity functions and chamber activities to car shows and festivals to customer appreciation events and team building encounters. Outside the office, her passions include her expansive family (especially her six grandsons and German Shepherd!), church, education, and the great outdoors.

Robin Binkley

Agency Principal

Robin, a native Texan, moved up the mountain from Phoenix in 2001, enjoying both the beauty and climate the higher altitude offers. Holding a Marketing/Communications degree from University of Arizona, she was first licensed for Property/Casualty and Life/Health in 1994. Robin then quickly discovered how satisfying it was being part of properly protecting and compassionately caring for customers. Thus, in 2010, Robin contracted with Allstate to open her own agency – Binkley & Associates, LLC. As the agency’s owner and principal agent, she wears many different hats and enjoys many aspects of the business; one of her favorites is mentoring new agents – teaching them the ropes, showing them how to care for customers and their concerns, encouraging them all along the way, and finally watching them come into their own. When not in work mode, Robin spends time with her husband of 33 years and, as opportunity arises, her three adult children and six grand pets (hopefully grandchildren someday, too!). She also enjoys traveling, boating, mastering the martial arts, and being involved in her community, firmly believing that she has been blessed to be a blessing in return.

Eric Strength

Licensed Account Manager

Eric comes to us from Southern California where “by law,” one must surf and snowboard (LOL!) . . . which are rather difficult hobbies here in Prescott Valley; however, he has found plenty of outdoor activities to keep him very busy enjoying our beautiful Quad-City area. Graduating from California State University, Fullerton with a Business Degree, Eric developed a successful IT career that went from managing software developers on major television and movie studio projects to running his own business in the industry. While enjoying the sales and operations aspect of the business, he didn’t really have a passion for IT itself and knew it was time for a change. Having always thought of himself as a customer service kind of guy, he followed in his father’s footsteps (who was in the insurance industry for 30 years!) and joined our team to help customers look after the people and possessions nearest and dearest to them – a great fit for him, as he genuinely cares about people – their businesses, their families, and of course their wellbeing.
So, what brought Eric to our little corner of the world? Could it be love!?!? He’d like to think wise career decision-making and smart planning for the future brought him out our way, but truth be told, it was the oldest story in the world – boy meets girl! Seriously! What started out as a lark with a little dabbling on a dating website turned out to be a lifechanging event! An airplane captain based out of Phoenix, making regular trips to California, had definitely enchanted Eric – so much so that a year of long-distance dating just wasn’t enough and here he is, end of story . . . or is it? Could there be wedding bells in the future? Stay tuned!
