Hi Eric, I understand your frustration with the claim. It's important to us that you feel supported and informed. I looked into this and because there were two separate incidents, they had to be filed as two separate claims. You were not surcharged for either claim. The first claim was not at fault. The second claim was at fault. However, because you are on our gold program which offers claim forgiveness, your claim was forgiven and there will be no surcharge. The policy renewed the same week of the accident, and the rate was the same as the prior policy period. Why? Well I for one, enjoy seeing the same attention to detail in technical conversations: the consideration to both sides of a situation and most importantly that there's consistency - that’s how it went, with Valerie Dean.

For the record, that’s ALSO how it went with all the Allstate staff associated with our account. Professional.

The journey began after our immediate neighbors adjacent to us, had their (shingle) roof replaced due to wind and hail damage; that prompted us to take a look at ours via a local roofing contractor and sure enough… So on behalf of my sweet Mom I spoke initially with a representative under the auspices of Mr. Vasquez (Romero) who was pleasant and patient while documenting the scope of our concern(s), creating and conveying a claim number which got the ball rolling.

Shortly thereafter, a claims adjuster made timely contact with us to set a date and time to get up on the roof and have a look. Her name is Valerie Dean, who’s been very pleasant throughout conversations and warmly
