I started working in insurance in 1998, five years before I graduated with my master’s degree in biochemical studies from Rutgers University. Helping those in my community and being a special part of that community is important to me. So, it was an easy decision for me when I decided to open the doors to my agency in 2007.

There’s so much to love about Jersey City, and I enjoy taking part of all the things that make this town so great. The diversity in Jersey City, and how it embraces different cultures, is something I find to be particularly unique about this area. Also, if we ever want to enjoy big city life, we can get to New York City in a matter of minutes.

Outside of work, I like staying busy. First, I make an extra effort to get involved with giving back to the community. I volunteer with the Elizabeth Homeless Coalition and with Light of the World volunteer group. When it’s time for fun or relaxing, I can often be found playing or watching soccer or studying automobiles. I enjoy reading about classic cars and staying current with the technology that is always changing with them.

Our frustration and disappointment with the handling of our claim following the devastating loss of our home due to fire. Specially the process surrounding rental assistance has been unnecessarily complicated and rigid. While we understand policies are in place to ensure fairness, it is clear that nit all circumstances are the same. Our family is already dealing with the emotional and financial toll of losing our home and these additional hurdles make an already traumatic experience even more difficult. We need timely and effective solutions , not bureaucratic delays
