Having an office in New York is wonderful, but having one in Harlem is even better. This area has such a diverse population and is so colorful. We have so many different cultures here, offering an array of food, music and creativity. I love going to all the restaurants and museums as well as taking part in all the block parties and music festivals that happen here. Even though I now live about 10 miles away in New Jersey, I grew up nearby in Washington Heights, so I know this area and the community well.

I have my mother to thank for my work ethic. She came to the United States on her own from the Dominican Republic and worked hard to bring the rest of her family to America. She taught my siblings and me the importance of finishing school, working hard and being honest. In addition, she taught me how to make a spectacular Ropa Vieja!

The values my mother instilled in me are also reflected in my work every day. I started in 1989 as an office manager at an Allstate agency. My boss, Lowell Houston, was like a father to me, and he encouraged me to take my career to the next level as an agent. In 2000, I opened my own agency, which has been located in Harlem since 2011. My staff and I speak English and Spanish fluently and have a combined experience of more than 30 years. I'm passionate about working with customers as they make decisions that help protect what matters most: their family, home, cars and business.
