Insurance has been a part of my life since I was a kid growing up in Ironton. My dad has been an insurance agent for years and much of my knowledge came from working with him. I learned about product knowledge, setting goals, and putting the customer first. These attributes shaped me into the agent I am today.

Ohio is an amazing state, and I enjoy traveling around experiencing new things. Whether it's catching a Reds game in Cincinnati or the Guardians in Cleveland, a Buckeye football game (TBDBITL Alum) in Columbus, or hiking in the Hocking Hills around Logan, Ohio has so much to offer.

I’m a huge fan of cars and racing. During my free time I enjoy being able to go out on the lake on our boat and relax with friends and family. I also serve as an unpaid driver for our son and his activities. I love sponsoring the local schools and providing for the kids.

One of the many things that I truly love about being an agent is training and developing my staff members both personally and professionally. My staff are excellent at what they do and love assisting customers. They are smart, efficient, and have a passion for helping customers protect what matters most in their lives.

I’m Shawn Morgan, Operations Manager with the Agency. I grew up in Ironton, Ohio, and moved to Athens for college before beginning a career in financial services that eventually took me across the country. I spent years auditing mortgage portfolios from Buffalo, New York, to Orange County, California, and later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I worked with mortgage underwriting and processing teams.

After returning home to Ohio in 2018, I continued my career in underwriting before earning my insurance license and joining the agency in 2023. My experience gave me a strong background in operations, team development and office culture that I now bring to our agency and the customers we serve.

I’m proud to call southern Ohio home and enjoy spending time throughout Ironton, Portsmouth, Wheelersburg and nearby Ashland, Kentucky. I also enjoy traveling around Ohio, whether that means visiting Columbus and Cincinnati, spending time at Put-in-Bay, or making a trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky.

Outside of work, I’m a devoted husband, proud father of three and an avid golfer who enjoys going out on courses throughout the Tri-State area. Whether I’m helping develop our team or working with customers, I enjoy making complicated things easier to understand, building relationships and being part of the communities we serve.

I’m Kara Givens, Sales Manager with the Agency, and I’ve been helping customers with their insurance needs since 2015. I live in Girard, Ohio, with my husband and our six children, so when I say family is important to me, I mean it!

Throughout my career, I’ve focused on getting to know customers, understanding what matters most to them and helping them find coverage that fits their individual needs. Insurance can sometimes feel complicated or overwhelming, so I work hard to make the experience comfortable, easy to understand and personal. I want my customers to feel like they’re being taken care of the same way I would want my own family to be treated.

When I’m not working, most of my time is spent with my husband and kids. We love exploring Ohio together, whether we're visiting Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati or Toledo, and Cedar Point in Sandusky is a family favorite. Living in Girard also keeps us connected to communities throughout the Youngstown and northeastern Ohio area.
