I am a North Carolina native: I was born and raised in Davidson, educated in Durham at Duke University and have lived in Mooresville, where I operate my Allstate agency, since 1983. Mooresville is just a three-hour drive to the coast and a two-hour drive to the mountains. It’s a wonderful place to live and to work.
When I’m not working, I volunteer for the U.S. Coast Guard, facilitating classes on boating safety as a public education officer. I also facilitate classes for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an advocacy group for families with mentally ill family members. I also enjoy spending time with my family. I’m a devoted husband, a proud father of three grown sons and a grandfather. My wife and I love to travel. We take annual trips to North Carolina’s coastal beaches.
I began my career with Allstate as an insurance underwriter in 1976 and became an agent in 1983. I believe that a good agent is an invaluable resource to customers, and I appreciate the opportunity to serve customers as they make decisions that help protect what matters most: their family, home, car and boat.
I also believe in continuity of service. Two of my three agents have worked alongside me since 1990, and the third, one of my three sons, joined the agency in 2013.
