James Walker Insurance : I’ve lived in the northern area of the county, the Corner community, a quiet city located just outside of Gardendale, all my life, and I’m proud to be a part of a third-generation Allstate agency in this community. You might say Allstate is in my blood: My father started this agency back in 1974, when Gardendale’s population comprised just a few thousand people. Today, Gardendale has grown to nearly 30,000 people. I took over the agency in 1996, and my sister, Melissa, is the customer service rep. My son, Jacob, joined our agency in 2017 as a licensed sales producer having graduated Summa Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in business marketing.
Although our boys are grown, my wife and I don’t have much free time. When we’re able to take a break from work, you’ll find us playing tennis at the local courts. We also enjoy driving to Atlanta for the weekend to catch a few Braves games and trips to the Gulf Shores beaches. In addition, I am a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church.
The lessons my sister and I learned in watching my father build his Allstate agency continue to influence how we conduct business today. We’re rooted in this community, and our agency is dedicated to assisting customers as they make decisions that help protect what matters most: their family, home, car and boat. I love that we have such a rich history with customers in this community. It’s one of my favorite aspects of this job. We make a habit of following through with each customer, and we’re here to get the job done. We hope to keep this agency within the family for many years.
