When I changed my homeowners insurance from State Farm to Allstate two months early I was told by the Allstate represent
When I changed my homeowners insurance from State Farm to Allstate two months early I was told by the Allstate representative I was told that they would take care of informing State Farm and I would ket a small refund because I was reinsuring early. This did NOT happen. Now State Farm is contacting me about renewing my policy. When I work with a company I expect to be able to trust their word. This is NOT the case here and it is upsetting to me. If it happens again I will look for another insurance provider that I can trust!

Catherine, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I’m truly sorry for the frustration this caused — that’s never the experience we want for our customers.

When switching carriers early, there are times when the prior company requires direct confirmation from the policyholder before processing cancellation. While we do everything we can to assist with that process, it appears there may have been a miscommunication somewhere along the way, and for that I apologize.
