Born and raised in the Detroit metropolitan area, I understand the unique insurance needs of the residents of Shelby and Macomb Townships. I relocated my Allstate agency to Shelby Township in 2015 from its prior location in Clinton Township, where it had been since 1983. My favorite parts of living in the area are boating on Lake St. Clair in the summer and access to outdoor activities in Northern Michigan in the winter. As an avid sports fan, I appreciate all of Detroit’s major and minor league teams. I enjoy the new Jimmy John’s Field that is located nearby in Utica. It is now a favorite family attraction of mine.
I started with Allstate Insurance in 1981 inside a Sears store, and I have been an agent ever since. I believe in what Allstate stands for, and I am proud to serve as a trusted Allstate representative. As a lifelong learner, I am committed to learning about each product and service Allstate offers, and I insist that my experienced licensed agents do so as well. Even with more than 35 years in the insurance business, I recently completed my certification to be a Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP) through the American College of Financial Services to add to my Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) certification. I am a strong believer that part of my job is educating myself, my staff and, most importantly, customers on how to help properly cover them and their assets.
My licensed agents and I are available to perform annual reviews for customers, checking to see if they've had any life changes that may affect their coverage needs and seeing if they quality for available Allstate discounts. These reviews also offer a time for the customers to ask us any questions they may have about their policy or specific coverages.
Supporting my community is important to me. I often partner with Macomb County fire departments for community events. We also set up booths at local trade shows to help educate the public about our agency and the benefits we offer each customer. Stop by one of our booths at venues such as Cobo Center, Novi Suburban Collection Showplace and Gibraltar Trade Center, just to name a few.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Jessica and Zachary. Jessica, my office manager, became interested in coming to work with me in the first grade. When she graduated from college, I couldn’t have been more proud to welcome her to my staff. Zachary also represents Allstate at a different agency.
