I’ve called Kingwood my home since 1974. I couldn’t imagine a better place to raise by two sons with my wife, Debra, than right here. What I like most about our town is how compassionate our people are. I know everyone on my street by a first-name basis and we can go next door if I needed to borrow anything. Our neighbors are always happy to help just as we would help them. When we're traveling, I know my home is in good hands just as my neighbors can count on their homes being in my good hands when they are away. That’s exactly why I wanted to start a business right here and support the people of Kingwood.
I’ve always enjoyed watching and playing football. Playing for the University of Houston as a center/guard from 1988 - 1992, my Cougar family and I helped Andre Ware win the Heisman Trophy in 1989. In 1992, I went on to an NFL mini-camp for the Miami Dolphins, but after two weeks, it was not to be. So I came back to Texas and have been helping customers protect themselves just like I had been protecting the likes of Andre, David Klingler, Jimmy Klingler and other Cougars.
My oldest son is now playing at Kingwood Park High School as a linebacker. Our family loves watching him play. And we enjoy going to Cougars football games at TDECU Stadium. Watching the Texans on Sundays while we barbecue is also a common sight at our house. Outside of sports, I enjoy hunting, fishing (on the coast, from Corpus Christi to Sabine Lake). In fact the boys and I have just started as volunteers for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. My youngest son has started playing saxophone in Kingwood middle school. He's really a natural. The sounds of Kenny G coming from his bedroom every night is a nice welcome home in the evening. We also frequently walk some of our six dogs at East End Park in Kingwood.
