I have been part of the community for over 30 years. Here are some fun facts about me: I have 5 kids and 1 grandchild, I was Cubmaster of Pack 205 for 8 years, and coached tee-ball, soccer, and basketball when my kids were younger. This occupied many, many years as five kids required a lot of time. I am always proud to say that I grew up in Astoria and still think about my days playing stickball, handball, and basketball. I went to high school in Brooklyn, I’m a proud graduate of SUNY Albany and did my MBA at Baruch College. I was also on the board of the Long Island Chapter of Brooklyn Tech Alumni Association, and former VP and member of Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business Alumni Board. As a Knicks fan, I enjoyed serving as a mentor for young entrepreneurs as part of the Allan Houston Foundation.
I moved to Long Island when the kids were born. I have a career spanning decade as a small business owner on Long Island and in Queens, as well as a corporate career. And yes, I commuted to Penn Station for a very long time by LIRR so I understand what Long Island commuters experience. On the weekends, I usually boat and fish on the Long Island Sound or the Jones Beach Inlet and barbecue (even in the winter.)
