The Harkwell Prosser agency began in 1963 with my father Richard Harkwell at the Lake Street Sears Sales Booth, under the escalator, I remember it well. I joined the Allstate claims department in 1984 where I met my husband, Steve. I continued to work in claims until 1989 when I joined sales management. In 1994 Dick retired and I joined the agency. He remained in the agency for several more years and taught me the importance of quality customer service. He believed in treating his customers like family, I strive to continue that tradition today with my team. My son Sam Prosser recently joined the agency and brings a third generation to our legacy.

Our team has changed through the years, but our focus and commitment remain to offer a full line of insurance products from auto and homeowners.

He graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism. He was recently married to Samantha (Sammy) in 2018 and they are expecting their first child in March! Sam is an avid sports fan. When not in the office, you can probably find him on the golf course. He is a born and bred Minnesotan despite his love of the Green Bay Packers (GO PACK GO!). The last experience i had left me wondering if i should switch insurance - so much time wasted and money spent for a simple issue that should have been completed much quicker than it took - submitted a complaint on the adjustor and the issues that were coming up (for a full coverage claim) and nothing really changed - took almost 7 weeks to replace a hood and grill due to allstate wanting to save a few dollars - why pay for full coverage when the cost of the rental car would have paid for brand new parts without the need for allstate and the excessive costs for coverage. Very disappointed in the overall experience.
