Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Public Relations from Northern Arizona University and moved to Colorado on Super Bowl Sunday in 1999.

She has been in the insurance industry since 2002 and opened the Agency on November 1st, 2013. She has an extensive claims background which provides invaluable knowledge for coverage discussions and claims guidance with each Customer. Melissa has years of risk management experience, providing an additional strength when it comes to helping individuals and families manage daily risk.

Knowing the local families that make up our community is at the core of the Agency, and giving back to the community is extremely important to Melissa. The Agency annually honors a Brighton High Senior with a $1,000 scholarship. Melissa served on the non-profit boards of the 27J Education Foundation, Brighton Legacy Foundation and Brighton Shares the Harvest. In February of 2018, Melissa also co-founded "Ripbeams", a non-profit in memory of her dad in which handmade beanies are collected and given to kids and adults with cancer.

For 11 years, Melissa investigated car claims in which she assisted parties involved in resolving damages and/or the claim, but she couldn't change the outcome. As a business owner, she utilizes her claims background to help through safe driving information.

In 2014, the Agency was named Business of the Year People’s Choice Award by the Brighton Chamber of Commerce and 2021 Small Business of the Year by the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce. They are also members of the Fort Lupton Chamber, Keenesburg Chamber, Southeast Weld Chamber and the Erie Chamber. Melissa was also named the 2024 Rising Star by the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce.

I entered the insurance industry in 2002 and never left. I have lived in Brighton since 2006 and enjoy helping others protect their assets and loved ones by managing daily risks. I enjoy my time volunteering, restoring and driving my classic vehicles, painting and walking with my dogs, Bodhi and Roxy. I'm also a member and sponsor of the Colorado 4x4 Girls.

I have been a past board member with Brighton Shares the Harvest. From 2013 to 2017, I was also a board member with two local non-profits, the Brighton Legacy Foundation and the 27J Education Foundation. I co-founded Ripbeams, a non-profit in memory of my dad who we lost to Acute Myleoid Leukemia where we collect handmade beanies and give them to kids with cancer.
