Local Allstate Agent: Meet Sam Tanoos

I have lived in the Evansville area since 1991, and I can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. It’s such a wonderful area — it still maintains its small town charm, yet it’s in close proximity to Indianapolis and Louisville. A perfect day for me is volunteering in the community during the morning, playing a round of golf in the afternoon and enjoying dinner with my family in the evening.

I started my career in the insurance industry as a teenager and after 34 years of experience, I was fortunate to open the doors to my current Evansville office in 2000. I know and love life here, and it’s important for me to give back to the community that I care so much about, and I’m thankful that Allstate supports and encourages my efforts. I’m proud to support Holly’s House, a non-residential child and adult victim advocacy center that I helped secure an Allstate Good Hands in the Community grant from 2006 thru 2016. I also work with the Dream Center, a faith-based charity that supports under-privileged children through education and recreational programs and support the Evansville Rescue Mission, which provides emergency relief to the homeless in our community.

I’m in the insurance industry because I love working with and helping people. I believe treating people courteously and honestly is the only way to do business. Whether you need to choose car insurance, rental insurance, protect your dream home or save for retirement, I'm here to help you choose coverage that fits your needs. I look forward to working with you. Please call or stop by the office today!

Angela started working in our office in 2007, but she’s always been familiar with our team as she is married to Sam Tanoos. Prior to joining our team, she was a stay-at-home mom to their three kids and volunteered regularly for the Warrick County School Corporation, the Castle High School Marching Band and several youth sports teams. Angela also volunteered with Holly’s House, a local domestic violence shelter that secured an Allstate Good Hands in the Community grant in 2016, and the Dream Center, a faith-based charity that supports under-privileged children. Through Angela’s volunteerism, she has gotten to know many local families here in Evansville and Newburgh, and she hopes to serve many others in the years ahead.

Alice Ashby

Licensed Sales Professional
Prior to joining our agency, Alice worked as a claims processor and adjuster which gave her a deep understanding of the entire insurance process. She passes along this knowledge to customers when she’s helping them choose the right coverages for their needs. She has several grandchildren with whom she loves spending time with and she also enjoys traveling!

Mary Claridge

Licensed Sales Professional
Mary is an Evansville native and has worked in our community since 1973. After graduating from the University of Evansville, her first job was with Allstate. She joined our team in 2007 and carries a wealth of knowledge from her career in insurance claims. When she’s not assisting customers, she loves traveling, scrapbooking and making customized greeting cards. Stop by and say hi to Mary today!

Craig Smith

Licensed Sales Professional
Craig attended Mid-Continent University and graduated with a degree in business administration. He spent seven years as an insurance agent in Florida, before moving back closer to home and joining our agency. He lives in Henderson with his wife, Caroline, daughter, Claire, and son, Caleb. He’s an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching his kids and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball teams. Stop in or give him a call today to discuss your insurance needs.

Brenda Wible

Licensed Sales Professional
Brenda resides in Evansville with her husband and two wonderful children. She’s been with us since 2012 and brings 17 years of business experience to our agency. She considers herself a career college student and received her last bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her spending time with family and attending volleyball games with her daughter.

Keep Young Indiana Drivers Safe at Night

Help your young driver learn the rules of the road, including those around late-night driving. Indiana restricts the hours a graduated driver license (GDL) holder can be on the road to help reduce crashes. These restrictions can begin as early as 10 p.m. and are one way to help inexperienced drivers. My agency offers another through Drivewise®, which rewards drivers for safe driving, including limited late-night trips. We know Good Driving Starts Young. Contact me today to learn more!
