Tate grew up in Fryeburg, Maine and graduated from Fryeburg Academy. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business at Bentley University in Waltham, MA and also has accredited designations from Universities in Italy, Turkey, and most recently The Wharton School of Business. Tate brings extensive experience in consulting and over a decade in the insurance industry to the Tate Ficker Agency and is passionate about serving his communities and helping customers protect what they’ve worked hard for. In his spare time, Tate enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, golfing, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors!

Meghan Dougherty

Vice President of Operations

With over 20 years experience in insurance and the Allstate family brand, Megan Dougherty, is passionate about the many personal connections she has made and deep-rooted knowledge of customers needs. Megan’s tenure being associated with Allstate began in 2003 shortly after graduating from the University of Southern Maine. Working her way up from a Licensed Sales Producer, Megan quickly made her way up the ranks as Office Manager and now leading Operational and Human Resource efforts as the Vice President of Operations. Partnering with Tate on strategic planning, business development and customer service and sales, Megan demonstrates a strong ability to engage exceptionally with customers and develop trust and repour with the many partners she works with. Megan’s family, including her husband, twin girls and son enjoy spending time in their favorite haven, Rangeley where they enjoy hiking, boating, and spending time with family and friends.

Jordan Reaves

After traveling the US, Jordan and his family decided to make Maine their next home. Jordan has a strong background in insurance from different levels and companies. Starting in the industry in 2008 Jordan learned from the ground up and most recently was an agency owner in Texas. He brings his experience, motivation, team skills and can’t wait to be part of a growing agency. Jordan has years in insurance and other sales industries where he has found success in each level, and knows the challenges faced daily to hit goals while providing the best experience and service. Jordan is an ex athlete and a competitive guy who will push to hit the next level and have fun doing it. Jordan has three young kids and is enjoying discovering everything that Maine has to offer and is excited to join a successful agency that is looking to grow. He is excited to be part of the team and add in any way he can.

Sety joined the Agency in 2017 as a Licensed Sales Professional following graduation from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Business Administration. Sety has continued to grow, being promoted to Customer Experience Manager where he focused on supervising sales, service, and employee development. Sety manages the ever-changing dynamics of leading others as part of an Allstate Agency and Sety does the right thing – especially when no one’s looking. He operates with a customer-first approach and treats his peers and customers like family. Sety was recently promoted to Director of Learning & Development, where he will lead our training program, actively recruit and hire new talent, and use his innate compassion to continue to help others. In his spare time, Sety enjoys music and the outdoors.

Anthony Benson

Sales Associate

Anthony Benson has a passion for business. Receiving his Associates degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire, he knew he wanted to use his education to propel his promising career. Anthony’s positive, calming demeanor gives customers a sense of comfort in knowing he will address their concerns and creatively form solutions to assist them in their needs. He has quickly and effectively emulated the Agencies core values, goals and customer-first approach. Much of his compassion and innate skills are derived from his time spent with children as an after-school educator and as a representative and ambassador at a local market. Outside of work, Anthony’s passions include spending time with family, enthusiastically coaching 7th and 8th grade boys lacrosse for his local middle school, and trying new and unique foods Southern Maine has to offer.

Mitchell Bennett

Mitchell Bennett has been representing Allstate since 2022. Having grown up living in communities across Maine, from Biddeford to Presque Isle, he is committed to best serving customers from all corners of the Pine Tree State and beyond. Mitchell has a passion for helping others. In his professional life, he has served in a variety of customer service roles and always enjoys meeting new people. That passion extends beyond work, where he dedicates much of his free time to philanthropy through his involvement with Freemasonry and Shriners International.

Joseph Borowski

Sales Associate

Joe Borowski joined the Allstate team in September 2022. After graduating from Castleton University in 2014, Joe spent a few seasons playing professional baseball in New Mexico and throughout the Southwest United States. Joe comes to us from Schenectady, NY where his family is rooted. While in New York, Joe spent time working on a golf course, operating an indoor baseball facility and, most recently, selling vehicles for Northeast Acura. While working for Acura, his mission was to provide the best car buying experience for each and every customer and wants to continue the personalized level of service here at the Agency. Outside if work, Joe enjoys a good round of golf, traveling, and more golf.

Devon Ficker

Devon is a licensed agent who focuses her time supporting the agency in its operational and recruitment goals. With a background in Development at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Devon’s innate compassion for aiding people is what drives her. Having spent the last ten years raising three young children with her husband, Tate, Devon is excited to start the next chapter of her career. In her spare time, Devon enjoys spending time with family, golfing, cooking and exploring the woods with her children and Goldendoodle, “Teddy.”

Deborah Hewitt

Administrative Assistant

Deborah Hewitt, Administrative Assistant to Tate Ficker and Megan Dougherty will help drive critical initiatives around administration, HR, operations, marketing and more! With over 21 years in education helping and guiding students to achieve success, Deb enjoys building strong relationships, continuously challenges herself, and accomplishes personal and professional goals with her hard work ethic and positive demeanor. Most recently focusing on HR, payroll, training and operations, Deb is excited to help foster an environment focused on process and procedure.

Lunden Hughes

Sales Associate

Lunden Hughes is a talented sales agent with prior experience as a SMT Manufacturing Specialist at Enercon Technologies and in the shipping and receiving department at L.L. Bean. A dedicated team member and collaborator, Lunden is focused on his goal to enhance the Agencies’ goals, conquer obstacles, and maintain a positive and highly respected customer satisfaction. Graduating from Edward Little High School with a 3.7 GPA, honor role achievement and Academic Excellence Award, Lunden excels at anything he puts his mind to. Lunden has always enjoyed sports, specifically football and basketball and can be seen attending, watching or playing. Lunden is also a diehard Steelers fan, music enthusiast, and secret-weapon, a talented guitar player!

Amanda Johnson

Amanda has been associated with Allstate since May of 2018. As a Customer Service Representative, Amanda represents the Agency brand by serving as the first point-of-contact for customers needing support. Amanda continuously educates herself by remaining current on product offerings, cultivating relationships, and identifying real-time opportunities to better support customers. Her ability to multitask and continuously prioritize highlights her disciplined character and motivation. Amanda truly enjoys working and assisting people in protecting what is most important to them.

Kyle Majkowski

Kyle Majkowski joined the Agency in October 2021. A Salve Regina University graduate of 2020, Kyle received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Eager to begin a career as a Chiropractor, Kyle knew he wanted to serve people. When a family move from East Greenwich, Rhode Island landed him in Kennebunk with his large family of seven, his vision turned to insurance. Kyle’s undergraduate career strengthened his ability to communicate effectively, relate to others in a professional and casual setting, and taught him hard-work and determination. His volunteer work in his community and passion for serving the underserved translated nicely to the Insurance Industry. Kyle works incredibly hard connecting with current and prospective customers, clearly and empathetically walking them through what can be a complicated and daunting process. As an ex-football player, his competitive nature and strong communication skills drive him to be the top producer in the agency with the goal of top-in-the-state. Kyle spends time on the weekends with his family and girlfriend and enjoys the beautiful Kennebunk beaches.

A Long Island, NY native, Brenan Portillo is excited to join the Tate Ficker Agency and hit the ground running. With over five years sales experience, Brenan is positioned to easily transition his skills to serving customers with their many insurance needs. A lifelong Giants fan and food aficionado, Brenan fittingly named his two beloved pets, Pancake and Ceći (chickpea in Italian) and enjoys watching them goof off together.
