Had Allstate for a few years for both auto and home insurance. Worst customer experience ever!! Igot rear ended and asked for some help from our agent but since I only had liability I was told they wouldn't help me. Then we had issues with water damage to our siding and Allstate's "independent" contractors said nothing was wrong. Had my roof and siding replaced. The company had to cut and replace 3 or 4 plywood roofing panels plywood due to water damage from damaged shingles.... Now I've seen a few estimates for home and auto insurance and it appears we are paying DOUBLE what we should be for the same coverage (estimates are lower from almost every other ins provider. So now we are cancelling and our agent won't even reply back saying he received our cancellation request. It's been over a week!

Made multiple requests for policy reviews and discussions to determine if I had the right level of coverage to ultimately try to lower the cost of policies and never received follow-up. Multiple times I mentioned I was shopping around and this agency made no attempt to retain my business or reward my loyalty. Had been with Allstate for over 10 years and now have switched to State Farm, which is what the rest of my family is now doing based on the new rates I have with them.
