When issuing my initial policy the agent issued using the wrong address, charged my card, cancelled the policy and reissued a new policy--but I had to call and find out why I was charged for an extra policy. If I had been using a debit card or reached a credit limit, that could have been problematic financially. Unfortunately, I lost the house due to Hurricane Helene and claims has been cataclysmically bad. We have had no fewer than 20 different adjuster assignment and re-assignments. This is still ongoing. The agency has been completely hands off, save for one call early in the process when someone noticed it was a large claim. At that time, the agent said someone would reach out to me to offer an auto insurance quote. Never heard from anyone.

Unfortunately, our claims adjusters are the only ones licensed to assist you during your claim process, not the agency. The agency is there to follow up with your adjuster if they are not returning your calls in a timely manner. In addition to possibly any feedback from any notes to your claim that are on file.
