Meet John Tunnell, proud owner of the agency. and a seasoned insurance professional who began his career in 2005. Originally from Indiana, John moved to Chicago in 2002 and opened his first Allstate agency in 2007. What began as a single office has since grown into a multi-location agency serving Illinois and Wisconsin, with Palos Hills proudly becoming the third location.
The Palos Hills office continues the agency’s mission of delivering personalized insurance solutions with a local touch. John and his team are committed to helping customers protect what matters most—families, homes, vehicles, and futures—through Auto, Home, Condo, Life, and Retirement coverage. The agency offers service in both English and Spanish to reflect the community’s diversity and is dedicated to initiatives that promote safe driving and financial preparedness.
Located at 11018 Southwest Highway, the Palos Hills office is conveniently situated just east of Harlem Avenue, in a small plaza with easy parking and visible Allstate signage.
Beyond insurance, John’s passion lies in mentoring his team and giving back to the communities his agency serves. From coaching youth sports to supporting nonprofit initiatives like Compass to Care and Friends of the Parks, John believes in making a lasting difference. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife Mary Ann and their children Alex and Caroline, and enjoys traveling, sports, and community involvement.
