La Plata is home to me. I was born here, grew up here, graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School (Go Rams!) and married my high school sweetheart. My wife and I wanted our three daughters to grow up in the strong and loving community, so it was an easy decision to raise our girls in our hometown.

I grew up on the Southern Maryland baseball fields and wanted to give my daughters and their friends the same experience, so, in 2002, I helped start the Charles County Youth League and can still be found coaching ball most weekends. I firmly believe that, when we engage local youth in positive activities, the less likely they are to find the troubles that can be so tempting to young people. It’s also important to me that our town has quality local healthcare, so I am a proud to be on the board of directors for our community’s only non-profit hospital, the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. Finding ways to give back to the community that has given so much to me is part of who I have always wanted to be.

If I am not on the ball field or working, I try to sneak in a round of golf or head to the beach with my family. While I love eating blue crabs caught fresh by our local watermen, I also love to cheer the other Blue Crabs found in this area, our minor league baseball team.

It’s been a great feeling to grow my staff to 10 great employees and provide local jobs. I'll never forget being able to help customers get back on their feet after the 2002 tornado destroyed this community. That is exactly why I became an Allstate agent and why I love my job – because I can help support the community and neighbors with their insurance decisions..

My office is just next door to Ledo’s Pizza, and I hope that you stop by next time you are in town. I look forward to catching up or getting to know you.
