After starting out as a claims adjuster in Arden Hills in 1986, I opened my agency in the Burnsville Sears store the following year. I moved to Burnsville in 1986 and chose this community for my first Allstate agency because I knew I wanted to work in the community in which I lived. Today, our office is located one block south of the Burnsville Parkway on Nicollet Avenue. We're in Burnsville’s Heart of the City area and sit three blocks away from Burnsville City Hall and the Burnsville Ice Arena.
I'm proud to be a member of the community and enjoy giving back whenever time allows. I graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School and then the University of Minnesota, so staying involved in the communities in which I grew up and went to school is important to me. I've supported the Burnsville Athletic Club over the years and spent the last year working with Best Prep eMentoring, a program in which I virtually mentor a high school student during a two-month period. In the past, my staff and I have participated in local projects with organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity and Feed My Starving Children.
When I'm not in the office or out in the community, I enjoy spending time with my wife Linda, our three daughters, Rachael, Amy and Sarah, and our three dogs, Maggie, Royce and Riley. You could say we have a full house! We enjoy taking advantage of all Burnsville offers, so you'll often find us relaxing at Crystal Lake, grabbing a bite to eat at a restaurant in Burnsville Center or catching a show at a local theater or Ames Center. In my spare time, I'm an avid soccer player, playing on two different teams year-round. I also enjoy photography and traveling and hope to continue visiting new, exciting places in the future.
I became an Allstate representative because I have a passion for helping customers find the coverage they need to protect what matters most. Having come from the insurance claims side, I knew I wanted to have a hand in helping people prepare for the unexpected, and not just assist them after the fact. Today, our agencies are staffed with a team of agents who each bring unique skill sets to the table, such as being fluent in Spanish and English.
