Michelle allowed my husband to split our martital policu. At the time that she split the policy we we married, not separated, the divorce had mot been started. She should have never split the policy. She allowed my husband to split the policy by removing only one vehicle to be placed on his new policy and left a vehicle that is titled to him as well as registed to him on the marital policy that was now only in my name. In NY registration and insurance names must match.
I asked Michelle mulitble times for assistace. She only assisted me when I threated to call corporate and complain. She then contacted my husband and he moved the vehicle that he owned amd registed to his new policy.
She shuld have bever spit the pplicy with our berify we were separted.

This was an extremely complex situation involving two named insureds giving conflicting instructions and disputing policy changes directly through our office.
There were repeated instances of vehicles being added or endorsements being requested by one party, followed by calls from the other party stating the changes were unauthorized. Each time, we were placed in the middle of a dispute that was not insurance-based, but personal.
Our responsibility as an agency is to:
• Process requests made by a named insured
• Verify ownership and insurable interest
• Document all conversations
• Notify the other named insured of changes and explain how those changes affect the policy
We cannot legally refuse a requested change from a named insured, nor can we override one party’s instruction because the other disagrees. We also cannot determine ownership beyond the documentation and verification available to us. That authority lies with the DMV and, ultimately, the courts — not an insurance agency.
Regarding the vehicle in question, until ownership was clearly verified, there was no alternative action available under New York insurance law and company guidelines. Once ownership was clarified, it was handled accordingly.
At every step, you were informed. Casey, Randy, and I were all personally involved to ensure transparency and compliance. We did not make independent decisions — we followed the legal process required of us.
We understand emotions were high, but our agency acted professionally, lawfully, and consistently throughout. I stand behind how this matter was handled.

You and your agency were great, but Allstate, the company was very disappointing. I was charged very high rates and you dropped me without any notification. It caused me a lot of grief and money with the DMV. The explanation was very poor on the grounds that I made too many claims and that you made a decision over a year and 4 months after a glass claim. my policy was renewed at least 2 times after before it was decided to drop me. I am very disappointed and would never recommend anyone to do business with this company.
