I am a fourth generation Dickson County native from Charlotte, TN. I was reared in my family's grocery store, which has been owned and operated by my family since 1977. This is where I learned my core values about community and business from my father and mother. My father always said, "Rule number one, customers are why we are here". That message is intact at the Murphy Group today.

I began my career in the insurance industry in 2004. I worked for 14 years with one of the largest insurance carriers in the country. As a benefit consultant, I saw thousands of people each year in schools and municipalities. From 2009 to 2017, my responsibilities with the same company progressed to statewide business development, partnering with the largest health insurer in Tennessee. From Memphis to Kingsport, I have closed and serviced countless business groups – from the smallest to largest corporate, government and hospital employers in Tennessee. I take great pride in my insurance contract and product knowledge. My experience has enabled me to fine-tune the values required to be a great agent – effort, enthusiasm, experience and ethics.

My wife Jennifer and I are very excited be agency owners representing Allstate. My son Garrett has joined the agency; his underwriting skills and product knowledge along with his passion for customer service are beyond his years. My youngest son, Bryce, is a sophomore student at Creekwood High School. I am very proud of both of my sons! Family is important and in my spare time with them, I enjoy cooking barbecue, watching football and playing golf.
