Throwing longtime customers off their homeowners insurance based on what we believe was a deeply flawed and inaccurate home inspection—right before Colorado’s hail season—is absolutely despicable.

We had only one small claim in approximately 25 years of maintaining homeowners insurance, yet that extraordinary history of responsible homeownership and minimal claims apparently meant nothing.

The entire matter was handled in a disgraceful and callous manner, with no meaningful concern for the serious financial risk and stress being imposed on us. To make matters even worse, we were then placed into new policies offering significantly less coverage through another company within the Allstate group.

This does not feel like customer service; it feels like a calculated effort to protect the company’s interests at the homeowner’s expense. After the way we were treated, being asked whether I would consider leaving a favorable review is insulting and astonishingly tone-deaf.

If negative stars were an option, I would give this experience minus ten. I would strongly caution other homeowners to examine their coverage carefully and think twice before trusting this company to stand behind the
