Your agent made a mistake on the change of address effective date for a renters policy and the only way to correct was to cancel the existing policy and write a new policy for the new address. The problem was there would be a 7-day gap in coverage. I was told he went to his manager several times to try to get a resolution and was told there was none. I had the renters policy for 7 years without any claims and absorbed several rate increases. I was more than unhappy and displeased with the ineffective customer satisfaction and not sure why I was not able to get a satisfactory resolution other than to think Allstate no longer wanted my business and if that was the case - there would have been quicker and less stressful 2 hours to get to that resolution.
